All classes finished a unit on Italian artist, Raphael. Preschool through 2nd graders completed portraits of children's television stars. 2nd graders created their portraits with glue outlines and pastels. 3rd through 5th graders created one point perspective drawings of the school hallway, after studying the painting, The Wedding of the Virgin. Preschoolers through 2nd graders then did a collage in the style of Romare Bearden, and a study of tints and shades after viewing J.M. Whistler's painting of his mother.
