Uniforms
St. Lawrence requires uniforms to be purchased through Schoolbelles or French Toast except the white dress shirts and white knit shirts. . These may be purchased anywhere. Jumpers and ties must be purchased through Schoolbelles. The uniform code is in place from the first day of school until the last. If children are allowed to wear something else, you will be notified in the Wednesday Parent Newsletter.

Girls: Knit shirt in white, yellow, or dark green
Blouse w/ peter pan collar in white or yellow
Oxford shirt in white or yellow
` Walking shorts or slacks in navy or khaki
Plaid jumpers (grades pk-4th) or plaid skirts (grade 5)
White, navy, or tan socks
SLS sweatshirts (bought through the school office)
Black, brown, tan, or navy belt
Cardigans/sweater vests (dark green) – optional
Haircuts should be of a length that bangs are above the eyebrows

Hiarcuts should be of the length that the hair does not touch the collar of the shirt. Bangs should be above the eyebrows.
Dress-Up Wednesday
Girls: Peter pan blouse OR oxford shirt in yellow or white
Plaid jumpers (grades pk-4th) or plaid skirts (grades 5-8) (except during
January, February,and March)
Girls plaid tie (required each Wednesday only)
Boys: Oxford shirt in white or yellow
Slacks in navy or khaki
Boys plaid tie (required each Wednesday only)
Shoes: Tennis shoes are permissible on any day of the week. Shoes may be colored, but may not be distracting in any way (cartoon characters, flowers, light-up, etc.). Any shoe with a “back” to it may be worn as long as it is in good taste. Sandals may be worn during “shorts” months (August, September, October, April, May, and June), but only sandals with a back or strap at the heel. Sandals must be worn with white, tan, or navy socks. Boots may be worn to school during winter months, but the student will be required to put on acceptable shoes once they arrive at school. If shoes are worn that are not appropriate, the dress code “infraction” steps will be followed (see “not following the SLS dress code, infraction schedule” below).
Casual Days: Students may wear casual clothes on these special days. If shorts are worn, they need to be of an appropriate length. Students who wear shorts/skirts that are considered to be too short or tight will be asked to change into gym shorts.
E During the months of August, September, October, April, May, and June
students may wear shorts.
E Shirts must always be tucked in.
E Preschool students are not required to wear belts.
E Jackets, coats, windbreakers will not be worn in the building. Please consider
ordering a dark green sweater or official SLS sweatshirt for cold days in our building.
E Girls may wear dark (navy or black) or white tights or hose (not flesh-colored).
E Gym clothes are for gym and are NOT to be worn back to class after gym, even
if gym is the last class of the day.
E Gym shoes are required on gym days if your child does not wear athletic shoes to
school those days.
E Students may not wear hats, make-up, or hair styles/color that is
distractive. Large, dangling earrings are not permissible. Boys may not wear
braids or beads in their hair. If the principal determines that the child’s
appearance is undermining the classroom’s academic purpose, the child will
need to comply with school rules or face expulsion.
E Students new to the St. Lawrence School family will be expected to wear black
pants with white oxford shirts. Girls will be expected to wear black skirts with
white oxford blouses on Wednesdays. This applies only until uniforms arrive.
